Hello! I have worked with children for the past 20 years in various roles, including full-time nannying. I currently care for a family of 3 during the week. I am pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in special education. I do not have any paid job experience with special needs individuals, however I have volunteered throughout the years with various groups to serve children with special needs, and I have helped care for family members who have special needs, or were elderly and had a lot of physical and mental limitations. I lived & volunteered full time at an orphanage for 8 months & o art of my daily job was caring for two girls (aged 6 & 8) who were autistic and non-verbal & both needed a lot of care. I loved my time with those girls & it was a blessing to experience life with them. I enjoy caring for others and would to find an opportunity to grow in my knowledge of caring for those with special needs.
