About Melanie

I have volunteered in the past with the elderly in nursing home and hospice settings - I greatly enjoyed my time in those positions & feel that I have a good nature to work with older people and love and care for them. Seeing my grandparents age and now receive in home health care has given me a desire to serve another family in this way. My Grandfather had dementia and was very limited in mobility and self-care for the last few years of his life and I was able to help care for him through some of that time. My work history has mostly been caring for children (over 15 years of experience as a nanny and childcare provider). I feel that many of the skills I acquired during those years would be beneficial in caring for elderly people as well.
