About Melanie

Hi, My name is Melanie and I'm 18 years old (19 in August.) I am currently enrolled in college for elementary education. I have a lot of experience working with kids, both personally and professionally. I have three younger siblings, so I've always been the "big sister" helping out. I also used to work at a daycare as an assistant teacher, where I helped out in a classroom with little kids. I really enjoyed being part of their daily routines, playing with them, and helping them learn new things. Right now, I work as a paraprofessional with a sixth grader who has autism and special needs. It's been a really amazing and special experience. I've grown such a strong bond with him. I've learned a lot about patience, communication, and how to support someone in a way that works for them. Overall, I love working with kids and creating a positive, supportive environment for them to grow. I can't wait to learn all about yours!!
