About Mekayla

Unlocking a student's unique potential through personalized support is the cornerstone of my teaching philosophy. With three years of experience, I specialize in helping elementary and middle school students master Math and English. I create an engaging, patient environment by actively listening and observing how you interact with new material. To keep you motivated, I connect complex concepts to your personal interests and break difficult problems into manageable steps. I believe clear communication with both you and your parents is essential to setting expectations and celebrating your progress. My favorite part of tutoring is witnessing that "aha!" moment when a concept finally clicks. I hold a college degree and am comfortable working in your home or mine, including households with pets. I am CPR training and First Aid certified. I truly look forward to helping you reach your goals and discovering your full academic potential together.
