About Megan

I honestly could not recommend Megan enough! She's so wonderful. I’m a Montessori teacher and Head of School. I met Megan when she was nannying one of my students three or four years ago. Since the family started sending their child to school full-time and Megan's schedule freed up a bit, I hired her as soon as she hinted at having availability for a new job. So she went from caring for one five-year-old child to my 13 primary-aged students, all between 2.5 and 6 years old. Megan is like the baby and child whisperer. My 18-month-old daughter is now in Megan's care as she guides my school's toddler program, and I tell Megan that I truly think my child gets out of bed every morning just to go to school to see Megan! Before piloting our toddler program here at school, she first was my assistant in my primary classroom. There is no task out of Megan's ability. She's willing and happy to help. The children -- of any age -- love her warmth. Megan is very organized, excellent with time management, and plans ahead of time. (Much better than I do!) She plans meals, grocery shops, prepares every meal. Even here at school, she bakes and prepares snacks daily with the children. She shows them how to participate. She shows them how to clean up. She uses languages at every step of the way so the children always know what to expect. She's the calmest person in the room when a child is having an emotional day. Like she always tells me, she's "used to it!" The big feelings don't faze her one bit. She talks and breathes through big feelings with a child. She validates their feelings, offering them the language necessary to express themselves in a healthy way. I have zero reservations… She's the epitome of a Montessorian, if that's the lifestyle you've chosen for your family. I'd hire her time and again!
