About Megan

Hello! My name is Megan! I've worked as a math tutor for several years, both privately and with a tutoring company, helping students from 5th grade through high school. I've taught middle school math, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and calculus. As a tutor, my goal isn't just to help students understand the material, but to help them feel more confident in their abilities. I strive to create a supportive environment where students can build skills, confidence, and a more positive relationship with math. I have a BS in biology with a minor in Spanish from UC Davis, an AS in mathematics from Laney College, and a MS in Statistics from Cal State East Bay. Outside of tutoring, I've worked as a research scientist in biotechnology for 10 years, enjoy tending my patio garden, and frequently ride my bike around the East Bay.
