Hi! I just graduated from NIU with a Bachelor of Science in Education, and plan on securing a job as an elementary teacher in the very near future! My primary job for the past 3 years has been working at a daycare for ages 1-11, mainly working with the school-aged children. Also, I have 2 years of babysitting experience outside of my own family - a family of 4 children aged 8, 10 (twins), and 11 during summer 2022, and a 2-year-old from Aug 2022 - Dec 2023. Before babysitting, I provided care to residents at the DeKalb County Nursing Home for 3. 5 years, by serving meals and doing heavy cleaning. Additionally, my background consists of being born into a large family, with 7 children younger than me, of whom I have helped care for my entire life. Growing up with firm parents, I am well-disciplined, orderly, kind, and caring. I am a very creative person as well, and love to do little crafts and things with kids, opting for games and activities instead of TV. Thank you :)

Megan provided childcare 1-3 days a week for my double gifted child (18 months old to 3 years old) for nearly 2 years. Megan assisted with household tasks such as folding my child’s laundry and washing her dishes. She was adaptive with scheduling. She utilized creativity and spontaneity in addition to planned reading, learning, or play activities. Megan provided a positive influence in my child’s life.
