I am a full-time music therapist and musician interested in providing child care services and/or adapted music lessons. I have extensive experience in child care and have worked with children and adults of all ages and diagnoses. I am a reliable, responsible, and patient individual full of compassion and creativity. I am open to helping out a family who needs support during the week or needs a night out every once in a while. I also have experience in teaching beginners music lessons (piano, voice, and guitar) and provide music therapy for children and adults with varied developmental disabilities. As a caregiver and music teacher, my goal is to create a safe, nurturing, stimulating, and fun environment by keeping the child's best interest at heart and meeting him or her at their developmental level. I will create activities based on a child-centered approach that will utilize and cultivate the child's unique and personal strengths; foster his/her physical, emotional, intellectual, and creative potential; and encourage the use of self-expression and healthy communication through creative modalities such as fantasy, music, art, drama, and play. In doing so, every child will be given the opportunity to discover, develop, and celebrate his or her own individuality.
