About Megan

Hello! I'm Megan, and I live in Tacoma with my husband and our three pets. I my Bachelor's in Journalism and PR in 2016 and spent a little over six years in the eCommerce and tech industry as a business and marketing consultant. I'm currently making a career shift and attending UW-Tacoma for a graduate degree in School Psychology. I have been working with kids off and on my whole life, and I particularly enjoy working with students academically. Children embody true human spirit-curiosity, community, complexity, genuineness, and growth. I am drawn to connecting with kids and understanding them as individuals. Using my own experience with neurodivergence, I develop relationships with my students that are built on trust and compassionate understanding. I then assess individual student needs and craft personalized learning plans and goals around those areas. Every child is worthy of loving care and deserves social, emotional, and academic support to discover their full potential.
