About Mckenzie

Hi! I'm a certified K-8 teacher with years of experience supporting students both in and out of the classroom. I specialize in English Language Arts and am currently going into my second year of teaching 5th grade ELA. I also have a strong background in special education and am well-versed in working with students who have IEPs and 504 plans. I believe that academic progress and social-emotional growth go hand in hand. Building strong relationships, confidence, and self-awareness is just as vital to student success as mastering content. During the summer, I offer tutoring services to help students stay on track, build confidence, and prepare for the upcoming school year. I'm passionate about creating a supportive, engaging learning environment tailored to each child's needs.
