About McKenna

I'd describe my personality as someone who is understanding, empathetic, and kind. I like working with kids because they always have an interesting way of viewing the world that I hadn't thought about before. I love nurturing their creativity as it is a useful skill to have. I started working with kids when I became a big sister to my little brother. I would always take care of him and dote on him. I became more interested in the psychological development of children and I was able to work with troubled youth in the area through an internship. In my spare time, I like to go on walks and surround myself in nature, taking the time to read a book, and listen to music. One thing you should know about me is I'm very big on safety and protection. I try to be aware of my surroundings and to make sure everyone is safe. My skills include being CPR, first aid, and AED certified as well as being patient and being able to be transparent with the guardians of the child(ren).
