About Mayra

I am a certified Special Education teacher with 5 years of teaching experience across elementary and middle school. I have worked with students with mild, moderate, severe, and profound needs, including Autism, Social-Emotional challenges, Specific Learning Disabilities, and Down Syndrome. I am passionate about supporting students in all subjects, enhancing their academic skills, and providing individualized help with homework or specific school areas. My goal is to make learning accessible, engaging, and tailored to each child's unique needs. I'd describe my personality as patient, nurturing and fun! I like tutoring because every child learns in their own unique way, and one-on-one support gives them the chance to thrive. I believe kids need individual help to build confidence and master skills. I'm looking for a job where I can use my 5 years of teaching experience and special education expertise to support students' individual needs.
