About Maylena

I like working with kids because I love being able to help kids grow into amazing people. I want to be able to help them keep a positive outlook on the future and the things they love to do. I started working with kids when I was about 12. I got my first babysitting gig and was so excited. Since then I've babysat and even worked at an after school/summer camp program with kids ranging from 4-10. In my free time I love to hang out with my sisters and partner. I love to be outdoors but I also enjoy spending time lounging around. I'm a very active person and I'm on my feet a lot of the time! My skills include being patient, having compassion and great communication. I know how being a kid can be stressful. You have so many emotions but don't know how to express them, so I know that having patients with them, being compassionate and knowing how to help them communicate is a must. I am willing to get any certificate if it will make the parents more comfortable!
