About Maya

Hi, my name is Maya! :) I'm currently pursuing an MA in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in depth psychology at the Pacifica Graduate Institute. I received a BS in Sociology with a minor in Psychology at Texas A&M University. When working with children, I have an enthusiastic, positive, and structured approach. I utilize child centered methods like naturalistic and structured play, and tend to favor a holistic approach to care. Additionally, I have over 5 years of experience working with children of all ages, including those affected by developmental disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, OCD, and ADHD. As a caregiver, I believe the combination of psychodynamic skills coupled with ABA techniques can create a dynamic between child and caregiver that fosters development, independence, and emotional resilience in children.
