About Maya

Hi, I'm Maya! I was born and raised in Fairbanks. Bringing joy and supporting children's growth is my passion. I have over 7 years of childcare experience, including caring for a family with four children under 10 and helping raise my siblings at one point supervising seven children at once. My responsibilities have included cooking meals, helping with homework, tidying the home, and managing bedtime routines. I focus on limiting screen time and encouraging outdoor play, creativity, and hands-on learning. I am also a certified Sunday School teacher with 8 years of experience working with children ages 3-12, which allows me to create fun, educational activities. I am not CPR certified but have training on it. I am patient, calm, and approachable, and I enjoy outdoor sports, board games, and puzzles. I'm comfortable caring for multiple children, following household rules, and providing regular updates. I'm also happy to help with cooking, light housekeeping, and travel.
