About Maya

Hi families! I am a positive, energetic, and goofy childcare enthusiast. I am currently in school to become an Elementary School Teacher. I was previously the Site Director for an afterschool program, supervising a team of 4-5 adults overseeing 60+ students. Before that, I was the Director for a team of 6-8 adults who led PE classes for elementary students in 5 different schools. While I loved those roles, I'm now looking for a more 1 on 1, as needed position while being able to pursue my degree. I'm incredibly passionate about working with kids & supporting the curious, imaginative way they see the world every day. I think the best influence for any child is someone who is authentically themselves, excited to share their interests, and can creatively find solutions to any problem. I am CPR & First Aid certified, and while I no longer have my own car, I do have a moped scooter as transportation. I look forward to meeting and working with you!
