About Maya

Hi! My name is Maya, and I recently moved to Santa Cruz after completing my Master's degree in Education Leadership. I also have a Bachelor's degree in Integrative Biology from University of California, Berkeley. I have experience tutoring and supporting students across a variety of ages and learning styles through academic support, childcare, and mentoring roles. I enjoy helping students build confidence, stay organized, and better understand material in a supportive and encouraging environment. My experience includes homework help, study support, reading and writing assistance, science coursework, and general academic organization. I'm patient, dependable, and adaptable, and I always try to meet students where they are while creating a calm and positive learning environment. I genuinely enjoy helping students feel more confident in their abilities and making learning feel less stressful and more approachable.
