About Maya

Hello! I am a recent collage graduate living in Santa Monica, and I am seeking part-time work as a tutor in English, History, and French for K-12. I graduated from Pomona College with a degree in English in 2020, where I worked as a library assistant and developed the skills to advise academic work with clarity and compassion. I grew up studying dance and theatre, also working as a teaching assistant in children's dance classes, and am comfortable leading creative activities. I am patient, dedicated, and attentive, and I cater my teaching to each child's individual needs. I have worked as a teaching assistant for fifth-graders, and have facilitated academic help in various subjects as a nanny. I am very adaptable, and happy to accommodate any individual learning needs.
