About Maya

I've been a zoological animal care associate for 4 years and have many years of experience with just about every sort of reptile, amphibian, fish, insect, and cat possible! I'd describe my personality as caring, passionate, and loving I like working with animals because they are so rewarding! I've grown up with pets my entire life and I am the person I am today because of the creatures in my life. I'm looking for a job that gives me the flexibility I need to continue my schooling. I also am looking for something that can help me to pay for that education and help to sustain my family. I started working with animals when I was around 12. I signed on at the Nashville zoo as an animal educator and have been in the field ever since. In my spare time, I like to care for my reptiles by customizing their habitats with larger space and live ecosystems! I also love to paint, draw, write, read, and sculpt. Something about me is that I will probably spend money on your pets.
