Maya applied to a nanny position I posted. We corresponded a few times before scheduling a phone interview to discuss the position. She did not attend the phone call and did not reach out to me to tell me she was not able to attend. I essentially got ghosted as I never heard from her again. I thought it was rude and unprofessional to bail on a job related call without reaching out to explain or apologize. This also shows that she is an unreliable person which is not a good quality for a nanny or a babysitter.
