About Maya

Hi! My name is Maya and I am a recent college graduate! I have over four years of experience caring for children ranging from early childhood to adolescence, both in Washington State and Prague (where I went to university). I recently interned with a nonprofit supporting refugee and migrant families, where I provided individualized childcare for Ukrainian youth, planned creative and emotionally supportive activities, and helped facilitate youth events. I really love getting to know each child and finding what helps them feel comfortable, supported, and free to be themselves. I'm calm, patient, and always try to bring a sense of structure without being too rigid. I've helped kids through online school stress behavioral challenges, and I always keep open communication with parents. Whether it's helping with homework, coming up with fun activities, or just being a steady presence, I aim to create a space where kids feel safe, heard, and happy.
