About Maya

Maya is SO wonderful, and one of the most thoughtful babysitters we have found. Maya has been watching our now three-year-old daughter since she was around two, and does so with the easiest, calmest, and most patient energy. Maya comes to our house already having prepared a plan for what she wants to do with our daughter. One time she brought a backpack containing some art supplies, another time it was a plan to show our daughter a new game—-hide-and-seek, which she indeed had never played before. Without us ever telling Maya about our aversion to screen time, she naturally chose activities that engaged our daughter without leaning on screens, which I appreciate. Also, most importantly, Maya has extensive experience with (and training to work with) children with special needs. She has always (always!) been on time, and on the singular occasion she was sick, she let us know early enough in the day so we had enough time to pivot. She is the loveliest!
