Hi, I began working as nurse assistant for three nursing homes for almost 4 years. After that, I decided to work in non-assisting jobs for 3 years. I was given the opportunity to work as a self employed caregiver for 4 different clients with diagnoses such as: dementia/ Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, paralysis, and multiple sclerosis for almost 7 years. My clients eventually deceased and I went onto working as self employed housekeeper for a few families for 4 to 5 years. Covid-19 caused a negative impact and was left without clients. There was a great need for caregiver's during the pandemic and started working as caregiver for the physically and intellectually challenged population for almost 4 years in 4 different group homes. At the same time, I was part-time employed by couple hospice and palliative agencies. During this time, I also decided to go back to vocational school and completed the nurse assistant course; eventually becoming a Certified Nurse Assistant.

You be the judge..... When looking for a new housekeeper, I asked Maria if she can clean for us once on Saturday, since we work during the week and I wanted to be home to show her around. We have an alarm that she would have to disable, a dog that needs to be warmed up to with cookies, and a code system for the door instead of a key. After the first Saturday she could come any time during the week. Here is her response: "My family depends on me and my budget to keep surviving so it would be so stupid of me to come clean a house, take something and get caught up in a big mess. I know you do not know me and I do not expect home owners to let me work while they are not there even if they have known me for years." I guess there goes this housekeeper...
