About Maxine

Hello! I'm Maxine and I'd love to help out! I'd describe myself as responsible, caring, and assertive. I love working with kids because I know how important strong role models are, and I strive to be that person. I'm currently a student at VCU and home until August, so I'm looking for a flexible position. I began babysitting at 14, taught art classes at Michael's at 16, and volunteered at my former afterschool childcare program, which later became my summer job. Now while at school I am a substitute teacher and I supervise general and special education classrooms. In my free time, I play guitar, paint, play video games, and spend time with friends. I prioritize creating a safe, trusting environment and pride myself on being reliable, warm, and engaging with children. Please let me know if/how I can be of service!
