About Maxine

Unlocking a student's unique potential drives my approach to education. With three years of experience, I focus on building confidence and fostering a genuine love for learning rather than simple memorization. I empower elementary students to develop critical thinking skills by breaking complex problems into manageable steps and connecting concepts to their personal interests. I adapt my teaching methods by observing how a student interacts with new material, utilizing visual aids, discussions, and hands-on activities to suit their needs. I believe clear communication with families is essential for building a collaborative environment where students can thrive. Whether we are exploring science, history, or the arts at the library, I prioritize creating a supportive rapport. Witnessing a student master a difficult skill and gain newfound self-assurance is the most rewarding part of my work. I look forward to helping your child discover their own path to success.
