Hello, my name is Maurissa and helping others is my passion. Currently I work part time as an in home nurse. I have been in this field for about 3 years now. Prior to this I was an RBT, and worked as a day care teacher/mamas helper for about 10yrs. I chose these career paths because both of my children have ASD. Doing so allowed me to not only educate myself but give them the support they needed. Now that they are older and more independent I have the privilege of taking what I have experienced and learned and apply it to the wonderful families I get to work with! My age groups that I have worked with are from infancy to elderly. I have worked along side hospice nurses, as well as speech, OT, PT, SI, ect., to ensure the best and most consistent care for my clients. I love brainstorming with parents to find activities that target an individuals IEP. Strengthening their skills at home, while increasing confidence thought the house hold.
