About Maureen

I am happy to help care for your kids, and to have fun as well as to help them to learn! I come from a big family, and I have over 10 years of sitting experience for many families, including three summers of full-time experience nannying for two different families of six children. I have a PhD in philosophy, and I have been a college professor by profession, with a year of teaching high school math/Latin teaching in there, but at this stage in my life I am looking for part- or full-time nanny work in the Charlotte area in order to live closer to family and work in an environment with kids. So, if interested, I can tutor in a variety of subjects, including piano. I also especially like to help kids learn crafts (and learn alongside them), so I'm especially keen to do baking/cooking projects, gardening, sewing/knitting/crochet, drawing, etc with them. Soccer or kickball games outside are also welcome. Let's be in touch!
