I'd describe my personality as compassionate understanding, creative, and goofy. I love working with kids because I always learn something new from them, and I get to play a role in shaping the next generation. I'm passionate about person-first care, with a strong focus on mental health. I'm looking for a job that lets me support kids' growth in a safe, caring, and positive environment. I started working with kids at St. Joseph's Children's home roughly 7 years ago. In my spare time, I like to go to the gym, practice yoga, kayak, hike, read, play volleyball, watch movies, play video games, paint, visit museums, try new bakeries, and have new experiences! One thing you should know about me is I am a huge mental health advocate! My skills include patience, de-escalation techniques, unconditional positive regard, clear communication skills, safety first / BLS certification among other things
