About Maura

I started working with children when I was 13 years old as a babysitter, but my experience began even earlier. Growing up in a large family with many younger cousins, I was often the family babysitter and always loved spending time with children. Since I was 16, I have worked as a camp counselor for the Baldwin County Summer Camp After School Care Program every summer, where I helped supervise activities and create a fun, safe environment for children. Since January, I have been working as a full-time nanny. Working with children has taught me patience, responsibility, and strong communication skills. I enjoy creating fun and engaging activities while also helping children learn and grow. One of the most rewarding parts of childcare is building meaningful relationships with children and their families. I love being a positive role model and creating an environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to be themselves.
