About Matthew

Although I am new to professional caretaking, I have extensive experience taking care of children. I have 3 younger sisters I grew up with, and I would often help my busy parents, who both worked and still work now, take care of them both directly through feeding, supervising, and engaging in activities, and indirectly through washing their dishes and clothes and cleaning up their messes around the house. Additionally, I recently re-entered the childcare world by helping my girlfriend babysit 2 young girls (ages 4 & 6) a few times. It brought me a lot of joy to connect with the girls and their family, and to positively impact their development as people. I hope for more opportunities to do that, especially during breaks from school. Not only do I find this work personally fulfilling, but it is also a great opportunity for me to help pay for my education as a self-funded graduate student.
