About Matthew

Hi! I'm Matt, and I'm interested in providing thoughtful and engaging care for elementary-aged children and up. I've spent several years working with and mentoring children in different capacities. Growing up, I was a summer camp counselor for five years, working with children ranging from kindergarten through fifth grade. More recently, I spent two years as a Big Brother in Boston, mentoring a 10-year-old boy. I've also taught piano to children ages 6-10. My approach to caregiving is calm, consistent, and encouraging, while leaving room for creativity and fun. Having grown up in an area that wasn't very diverse, I developed an appreciation for different cultures and perspectives through living in Maui for 2 years after college. I enjoy exploring different cultures, and believe children benefit from being exposed to experiences and perspectives beyond their immediate surroundings. I'm looking forward to connecting with families who value curiosity, creativity, and dependable care!
