I worked as a registered nurse for 15 years then went back to school for my physical therapy degree. I currently work full time as a physical therapist assistant. I have done home health care for the past 15 years. I am not able to perform any duties that would qualify as skilled care under either of these licenses as it would be against board licensing regulations. If you are currently a home health patient your agency can verify that they have instructed me in whatever duties you need just as they would a family member or any other caregiver and I would then be helping you under their direction. This could include wound care, medication administration, home exercise programs and even IV administration in which I already have extensive experience. I would be happy to perform any light house work, cooking, or tasks that I am capable of.
