About Matthew

Hi! My name is Matt. I am currently between my first and second years of medical school at Midwestern University. In the past I enjoyed volunteering as a tutor for refugee students from middle school up to college. I was a biochemistry major, so I'm at my best when working with students on science and math. Being able to learn effectively is not just rewarding career-wise, but also in developing one's future self. My goal tutoring is to help students improve their learning for success now and in the future. I was a track and field athlete in college, so skills like time management and diligence are ones I have dealt with and will emphasize with students. Furthermore, being competitive in a sport takes consistent practice, and this is no different for one's studies. As a tutor, I will emphasize repetition so students better remember what they learned.
