About Matthew

Hello, my name is Matthew. I am a Secondary Education student at the UC, currently completing my student teaching while also working as a Before School Assistant at Dater Montessori. Supporting children each morning has strengthened my patience, responsibility, and commitment to creating a safe and caring environment. I have hands-on experience with dogs, cats, and bunnies. I have spent the most time caring for my parents two mini lop bunnies, including a full summer of daily feeding, cleaning, enrichment, and monitoring while my mother was in the hospital. I also grew up caring for my family's senior cats and dog, which taught me how to be gentle, attentive, and consistent with routines and medications. In addition, I have pet sat for a friend's dogs, a Beabull and a Corgi and Beagle mix, for extended periods that included walks, playtime, feeding schedules, and lots of affection.
