Hello, I'm Matthew. I first got into caregiving out of necessity (my grandma and then my mother needed help) and found that I liked it. I found that while it could be challenging depending on the task, I enjoyed doing it. I'd describe my personality as on the quiet side, but have no issue talking once a rapport has been developed I like caring for seniors because they need the help and I've seen that there is a severe lack of help for seniors. I started caring for seniors when my dad needed help. I was mostly assisting my mom and grandma with helping him. Then I took on a slightly larger role when my mom was taking care of my grandma. Finally I was taking care of my mother by myself. All of this is over the last 7 years. One thing you should know about me is I am very dependable. My skills include patience, empathy, and an ability to adapt.
