About Matilda

I'm a second-year community college student majoring in Early Childhood Education with four years of childcare experience in daycare and regular babysitting. I plan to transfer to Illinois State University next fall to continue my ECE degree, but I will remain local and available to work until I leave. I've supported children from infancy through school age and love helping kids feel safe, understood, and excited to learn. I'm calm, patient, and creative, which helps me build strong connections with children and keep them engaged through play, routines, and age-appropriate activities. I value open communication with families and make sure parents feel informed and supported. I'm confident following household rules and meeting each child's individual needs. With CPR/First Aid training and ongoing ECE coursework, I provide a safe, nurturing environment and enjoy creating activities that support children's physical, emotional, and cognitive growth.
