About Mateo

I'd describe myself as extremely extroverted, sociable, respectful, and understanding. I like working with kids because I enjoy talking with them about their aspirations and ideas. They bring out pieces of the world I would have never seen. I have been caring for my neurodivergent younger brother for 11 years. During my summers I would often care for friends and families children as needed. Most recently I worked full time at the UNLV Youth Camp as a Youth Camp Counselor with 50 children ranging 5-13 years old. A typical day consisted of physical activities and arts and crafts. I communicated with parents about behavior and daily activities. I would transport and manage the children on field trips. I also maintained a tidy space with the children. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, playing video games, collecting Pokemon, reading and going to the gym.
