From the moment Mason stepped into our home, he brought with him a wave of relief and compassion that we didn’t know we were missing. His reliability was evident from day one, as he assisted my father with transfers, daily chores, meals, and the tasks of getting dressed and ready for the day. Mason’s genuine concern for my father’s physical and mental wellbeing shone through in every action, whether he was taking my dad shopping, watching his favorite movies with him, taking him outside to enjoy a nice day, or simply providing companionship. My dad trusted Mason and looked forward to the days he would be working; his assistance brought much needed normalcy, independence, and dignity to my father’s life. Inviting someone into your family home can be daunting, but Mason seamlessly integrated into our household. He formed genuine relationships with my dad, husband, and my young daughter, his presence becoming a welcome part of our daily lives. Mason’s commitment and flexibility allowed us to keep my father at home, surrounded by love and familiarity, for the last year of his life until his passing. For us, working full-time and juggling life, Mason provided peace of mind knowing my father was in trusted hands. In Mason, we found more than a health aide and we are so thankful for everything he did for my dad and my family.
