This review is based on my experiences and opinions regarding the DEEP cleaning services provided by Maria. It's important to note that cleanliness can be subjective, as everyone has their own definition of what constitutes a clean space. Also, this is a first time experience for me. I typically do all my cleaning. Due to work, kids and extra curricular activities, we decided to seek some help.
Maria scheduled a meeting with me to provide an estimate for cleaning my home. I specifically requested a deep cleaning and was quoted a price of $450. My home is approximately 1500 square feet in size and very well kept. I agreed to the price as Maria explained that the deep cleaning would be thorough and intensive. She mentioned that the service would include cleaning the cabinets, windows, ceiling fans, baseboards, and even the couch (both underneath and on top), in addition to their standard cleaning protocol.
On the scheduled day, Maria and two others arrived at my home to commence the cleaning. They were very friendly and I trusted the work would be nothing less of amazing. I was given an estimated time of 6 hours to ensure everything was done properly. After 5 hours, Maria sent me a text message stating that she was only 30 minutes away from completing the job. Unfortunately, I was still about 45 minutes away from home at that time, and she informed me that she had to leave.
When I finally arrived back at my home, I was truly shocked by the lack of cleanliness and attention to detail. The first sign was that the house didn't have a fresh clean smell to it. None of the couches had been touched, there were dust bunnies/toys underneath them, and the refrigerator was still dirty. To make matters worse, the freezer had not been touched either, and I discovered molded cheese and a leak inside the fridge. Even the windows were not properly cleaned.
The area rugs had not been lifted, resulting in dusty and dirty floors underneath. Behind the TV stand in two rooms, there were toys, dust, and miscellaneous items. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the results of the deep cleaning service provided by Maria and her team. The promised attention to detail was not delivered, and several areas were left untouched or poorly cleaned. I reached out to Maria and shared pictures of the problems I found. She apologized but then proceeded to blame her workers for not completing the tasks properly. I clarified that this was not what we had discussed, and I was extremely dissatisfied. She pleaded with me, saying she understood but couldn't afford to adjust the quote. I wasn't going to pay $450 for work that might have only taken 1-2 hours. In the end, I paid her $350 to end the back and forth conversation. I cannot recommend Maria and her team for any deep cleaning services as they lack experience. While she was kind, unfortunately, her work was terrible.
