I have a bachelors degree in human development and family science where I diligently studied the complex development of children. I have experience as a 3rd, and 8th grade teacher. I have also worked in Primrose, a Montessori inspired daycare, where I cared for kids from 3 months to 5 years. My care style is very fluid in nature. I love to see how you care for your child and emulate that. I'm also an intellectual at heart, when I'm working with a certain age group, I always feel called to brush up on knowledge. Mary is fantastic! We feel so lucky to have found her. She's cared for our kids on 5 separate occasions now. Her warm and nuturing personality paired with her education in child development and experience as a preschool teacher makes her the ideal caregiver for our 1.5 and 4.5 year olds. She is prompt, communicative, and up to date on all the best practices for communicating and connecting with little ones. She asked a ton of great questions when we first met about our kids' needs and boundaries that we'd like enforced and checks in periodically about ways she could be even more helpful to our family. She is so easy to work with and the kids truly love her. She is kind and clear and even brought a fun Halloween craft! We hope to continue to use her as long as she is available and I would definitely, definitely recommend hiring her.
