With no grandchildren in site I'm looking to help someone else out and get my need met as well. Who knew Grandma-its was a thing? I am here to tell you it is and I have it! As well as raising two amazing children, I have nannied for 2 families while they traveled over seas, with one family having three girls. I did seasonal nannying for a 1-year-old and was a supervising nanny for a 1 and 2-year-old last year. (2023). I have wonderful references from all my families! I am infant, child and adult CPR and first aid certified however my Wilderness first responder and CNA certifications have expired. I have worked with varying types of disabilities. I also am a retired Guardian Ad Litem in my county of residence. I'm a true outdoor/and active travel enthusiast. Mary is absolutely wonderful and I hope she will be back to FL next season to help us again. She was incredibly thoughtful, kind and engaging with my two toddlers and had an endless supply of energy. She is dependable, trustworthy and has a strong sense of when to “play” and when to “parent,” which is hard to find in a hired caregiver. Mary is fully engaged with the kids in active play, but is also comfortable enforcing boundaries and teaching important lessons like sharing, empathy and consequences. She was a blessing - My kids ADORE her and as their parent the feeling is mutual. I’m happy to answer any specific questions as a reference any day. 10/10
