About Mary

I have BA degree in Music Education, a MA degree in Education and a MS degree in Deaf Education. I was an elementary school music for 21 years and taught at the School for the Deaf for one year. I have transitioned out of teaching and have also worked as a bookkeeper, office manager and administrative assistant. For the past two years I have taken care of my beautiful niece from 3 months old to 2 years old and I LOVED every minute of it. I can't imagine doing anything else and am looking forward to meeting my new little one. In all of my work with children I have been guided by the mantra: People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care. I lead with curiosity, learning and continually discovering who they are and what makes them tick. I like to follow a Montessori approach that nurtures independent and interactive play. I work to include different types of play each day: Problem Solving, Fine Motor, Gross Motor, Speech/Language and more.
