About Mary

Montessori teacher turned nanny with 20 years experience! Nurturing young minds is my passion. As lead teacher for 8 years, I designed classrooms and curriculum, educating 2-5-year-olds in a child-based, hands-on, mixed aged environment. As nanny the past 13 years I've worked with newborns to teens, fostering age-appropriate development, providing safe and reliable childcare, and assisting in household management. I am seeking a full or part time position (2-4 days in summer, 4-5 days in fall) with a great, new, growing family. I'm hoping to connect with parents who share my patient and playful methods of child rearing. I believe in positive reinforcement, role modeling, open ended play, free expression and respect for the child.
