About Mary

Growing up on a small farm in Iowa, I spent the first 18 years of my life with my wonderful parents and two sisters and two brothers. I spent many loving hours with my grandparents being their companion and helping them whenever possible. I enjoyed them so much and at a very young age, I realized how satisfying it was for me to help others. I also learned the importance of dignity and respect. For the past 15 years, I have cared for clients with Parkinson's disease, heart disease, dementia, Alzheimer's, cancer and macular degeneration. I worked for my client with macular degeneration for almost two years. I would read to her for two to three hours a day and we both loved that time together. I take the time to prepare nutritious meals and I also encourage daily physical and mental exercises. I am CPR trained with a background in physical fitness. I also have an impeccable driving record. I love my work and life is truly about being there for others.
