About Mary

I provided care for my grandmother so she was able to remain in her apartment. I took care of her for three years until she passed. After my father passed, I moved in with my mother. Her health has declined and she was no longer able to drive. I took care of my mom for 8 years. When she passed away I felt as though I lost a part of me. A year later a friend asked me if I would stay overnight with her mother in order for her and her brother to have a nights respite. Her mother suffered from Parkinson's disease and needed around the clock care. Recently, my uncle passed and left his wife, who was his caregiver, alone. Working with her daughter, we set up a schedule for my aunts care. I provided companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping and laundry. I feel blessed to have been able to provide care and companionship to each of these women.
