About Mary

I'm a 49 yrs & a former hs math teacher with 18 yrs of experience in public schools. I'm new to the area and come from a large family, where I've always been involved in caring for children. In addition to my teaching background, I have professional experience as a sitter for families, where I handled after school pick-ups & drop-offs, supervised extracurricular activities, assisted with hw the because of my background, and provided recreational care. I am intelligent, friendly, and great with children. I became a teacher because I love working w/kids, and I hope to find a family in or near my new community that I can support. I'm available to work 15-20 hrs per week, only after school, (Monday through Friday), w/school-aged children. I'm not available for formal tutoring, but I love helping kids w/their hw! I do my best to keep them focused and assist however I can. I'm happy to undergo a background check if a family is interested in hiring me.
