About Mary

I am a recently retired teacher with a degree in Elem. Ed. and an emphasis in Early Childhood. I have over 30 years of experience from pre-K to 6th with the majority of my experience with kindergarten and 1st grade ages. I am also a mom and a grandmother of a toddler and a newborn. I am comfortable caring for up to 3 children ages 0 - 12. My patient and calm demeanor coupled with an ability to engage kids in a fun way allows me to connect with children easily. I enjoy reading to kids, crafts, games, puzzles, as well as creating educational activities. I am active and enjoy taking discovery walks. I can help with meal prep, tidying up , and homework for a slightly higher rate. I value communication with parents, updating them on our day and any issues that arise. I am CPR/ first aid trained and have my own car to transport. My goal is to stay connected with and continue to nurture children while balancing the ability to support my own kids and grandkids.

Mary is a kind, thoughtful and experienced caregiver who looks after both of my children, one who is 5 and the other, 10 months. She is incredibly hardworking and goes above and beyond to take excellent care of them and even helps out with our house when time allows, which is a huge relief for us and our busy schedules. She brings books to read to them, and provides a safe and structured environment for them while she is here, so I never have to worry while I’m away.
