In the late 1990's, my grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Back then, as a family, we weren't aware of how much help she was going to need in her daily life. Knowing what we know now, we would have done much more to make sure she had the daily, in-home care she needed. 

I know what it's like to be concerned about the well-being of a beloved elder and still have to deal with everyday responsibilities.

Back in 2010, I became a licensed Certified Nurse's Assistant (CNA) and took a job at a nursing home. Since 2012, I have put all my effort in providing the elders in our community with the high-quality, in-home care I wish my grandmother had received.

Mary cares for my 90 year old Father with advanced dementia.  While is is in fairly good health, his dementia is worsening and Mary is so patient and kind to him.  She is so responsible and caring!!! She even made him a birthday cake for his recent 90th birthday!  My Dad can be difficult but he loves Mary! Loves her cooking and is happy to have her take him to the grocery store and help him around the house.  I do not live in the same city as he does, so am so thankful for Mary and have such peace of mind knowing that she is checking on him and caring for him so well.  She is a true blessing.

We are very happy and pleased with what she has done and continues to do for myself personally and my wife.     She is very positive and always giving positive feedback on my progress. Mary is a very kind and observant caregiver. She treated Nancy with respect and love. She's very knowledgeable and skilled. As Nancy declined and her needs became greater, Mary was right there to adjust and keep her comfortable and well cared for. She never called in. She was very positive minded , laughed and talked freely and easily with Nancy. Our Nancy passed away at home with her daughters and Mary at her side, just as we all wanted. You couldn't ask for a better caregiver.

I hired Mary to care for my Mom who was blind, diabetic, and also suffered through Cancer. Not only did Mary assist with her care in her home but she also took her to her many doctors appointments. When you find someone like Mary to care for a loved one You do whatever you can to keep her. She's a rare find. She is a caregiver because she actually cares about people and has a special skill. She isn't doing it for the paycheck. Anyone that hires Mary will see very quickly that she's irreplaceable.

Mary does a lot more than what is expected of her. My elderly parents and I love her like family. Mary is honest, dependable and has the highest level of integrity of any person you will ever meet. She kept a journal of my parent's day So I never had to wonder how their day went. This journal consisted of meds dispensed, food intake, aches and pains and even bathroom activity. She didn't sleep for the last few days of my Mother's life and she did the job of our Hospice nurse. Words will never ever explain the level of care Mary provided. Mary is indeed an Angel and we love her.

Mary is a very knowledgeable caregiver for her clients. She does a great job of providing care and keeping the family members updated with any changes regarding the patient. As a home nurse taking care of one of her patients, I rely on her to give me important patient information, and I always trust that when I leave my patient is in excellent hands with Mary!

Mary cared for my mother from the time she was released home on Hospice care, until she transitioned almost 2 months later. We'd hired other personnel but my mom only like Mary... So, we let the other ladies go. Mary was truly a God-send. When Mary was there, we never had a moments worry and my mom never had a care. When she wasn't there, she called to check on "things" and us. She was so nurturing, caring and attentive with my mom. For us, she was reassuring and sensitive to our needs and questions with the whole "hospice" process. She walked us through ever stage and held our hands. We'll never forget her kindness and her stellar professionalism. I've recommended her several more times.

Mary and I care for the same 90-year-old Dementia lady.  In the short time that I have known Mary, I see that she is very sweet, soft spoken, caring, devoted, dependable, very compassionate, and concerned about our client's well being.  By keeping a journal on the daily care of client and the contact I have with Mary during "the changing of the guards" as we call it; we make sure there is no stone unturned and no breaks in communication as far as the care for our client. Mary has been able to handle all situations including hallucinations, seizures, incontinence, hysteria and depression with maturity and wisdom. I am most appreciative of Mary searching out activities that my mother would enjoy and then engaging my mother in them such as planting flower pots and making her favorite cookies.  She has been fantastic in taking my mother to church each week even though my mother is quite feeble and not always appropriate. Mary has never missed work and is very dependable.  Her genuine care for my mother combined with her skill set makes her the perfect caregiver.  I have complete trust in Mary and I am thankful that she is part of my mother's life.
