About Mary

In addition to being a professional nanny, I've been a senior caregiver for intermittent periods over the past several decades. Meeting the needs of both children and those who are no longer able to be completely independent is something that fulfills me. I myself am a senior lady, but blessed with energy and the ability to still maintain routines to assist others. A few years ago, the aunt of a friend moved in with me while she was transitioning between the hospital and care facility. She was in the beginning stages of dementia. She was also catheterized and had other physical challenges. I was tasked with bathing, dressing, medication management, laundry, changing her catheter, etc. I worked in Illinois state government for many years, but caring for children and others in need is far more satisfying.
