About Mary

Hi there! I'm Mary Johnakech, and I'm excited to share my love for working with children. With experience in child care and education, I've had the opportunity to make a positive impact on elementary school students throughout the year. During the school year, I worked closely with elementary kids, providing homework help after school. Currently, I'm serving as a summer school teacher assistant at Kentwood Public Schools. I enjoy creating a fun and engaging learning environment, making summer breaks a time of exploration and adventure for the students. It's an amazing feeling to be a part of their educational journey. In addition to my school-related experiences, I also volunteer my time at the Kentwood District Library, where I get to read to kids. Sharing stories and seeing their imaginations flourish is a magical experience.
